MELODIS Voice Dialer enables mobile users to dial by voice instead of scrolling through a list of contact names. The MELODIS Voice Dialer automatically indexes all contact information stored on the iPhone without the user having to re-enter it. To activate the MELODIS Voice Dialer, the user simply presses and holds the application button on the iPhone screen and begins to speak.

MELODIS’s innovative voice recognition technology enables users to quickly find the right contact information using their natural voice. To call Michael Smith, for example, users can instruct the MELODIS Voice Dialer to “call Michael Smith”, “call Michael”, “call Mike” and so on. Saying “call” before the name automatically dials the number. Users can also specify whether they want to call the contact at home, at work or on their cell phone.

Dialer is made only for iPhone. At this time, only users who have their iPhones registered to the US iTunes stores are able to purchase the Dialer. We are working on international versions.

To activate the Dialer, simply touch the screen and begin to speak using your natural voice. The correct contact will appear and be dialed automatically. You can also specify whethere you want to call the contact at home, at work, or on their cell phone. And access to email, SMS, and maps is just a touch away.

A data connection is required when using our application. You can test to see if you do have one by using Safari on the iPhone and try connecting to Google, Yahoo, or any other site.

Names in your address book are indexed by our servers, which allow us to perform fast and accurate recognition. This information is stored securely on our servers and is not shared with anyone else for any reason.

Please try to use the Dialer again. The next time you start the application it should successfully update your contacts and you will be able to search.

Here at Melodis, we strive to make each name understandable by the Dialer. Sometimes there are names that cannot be found e.g. 'Araceli'. In order to make these types of names searchable by the Dialer, you can customize it in your iPhone. Here is how you can do so:
-Open Up your "Contacts" icon on your iPhone
-Click on the name that is not being recognized and click "Edit"
-Scroll down to the bottom and click on "Add Field". Here you can customize the "Phonetic First Name" to your liking so the next time you do use Dialer, the name will be recognized

The Dialer actually does this automatically each time you open the app.

At this time, Apple does not provide a way for 3rd party application developers to access Bluetooth headsets.

Melodis Dialer is only available for purchase in the US iTunes Store and through the AppStore on your iPhone if you are registered to the US Store. Yes, the headset that comes with the iPhone is compatible to work while using the Dialer.

Melodis Dialer itself is free. If you have an unlimited data plan, there will be no additional cost. AT&T in the US requires users to buy unlimited data plan thus using the Voice Dialer as many times as you want will be included. We do recommend checking with your phone carrier and see what type of plan you have.

We are able to achieve high accuracy and fast searches because the names, nicknames, and company names in your address book are indexed by our servers, which allow us to perform fast and accurate recognition. This information is stored securely on our servers and is not shared with anyone else for any reason. Please note that we never transmit or store any other information from your address book such as phone numbers or email addresses.
